Warrior boys open big

BREEZY POINT — Matt Pohlkamp and Logan Rivard tallied four points each as the Brainerd Warriors dominated the Northern Lakes Lightning 11-0 in a non-conference season opener for both teams.

Rivard netted four goals and Pohlkamp finished with a pair of goals and two assists. Mitch McLain tallied two goals and one assist for Brainerd.

Also scoring goals for Brainerd were Cole Smith, Mason Severson and Reno Fussy. Severson added two assists.

BHS goalie Jared Stearns had 18 saves for the shutout. Joey Bergquist made 36 saves for Northern Lakes.
