Sartell/SR blanks Flying Warriors

SARTELL — Jodi Bertrand had a great night in net, stopping 40 shots for Brainerd/Little Falls, but the Flying Warriors could not mount any offensive attack as they fell to the Sartell/Sauk Rapids Stormin’ Sabres 5-0 in Central Lakes Conference action Thursday night.

The Flying Warriors fell behind 1-0 after one period and 3-0 after two. They managed 17 shots on the Stormin’ Sabres net, but none could get through.

“Jodi played well in the net and made some nice saves that kept us in the game,” said Flying Warriors assistant coach Brad Hubred.
