NEW YORK MILLS — Emily Miron led the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines with 21 points and Caitlin Volkmann scored 20 in a dominating 79-9 win over New York Mills Friday.

Volkmann also hit four shots from behind the three point arc, while Miron finished with 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Avery Jackson swiped 10 steals and Hope Theisen dished six assists.

The Wolverines shot 59 percent from the floor, while allowing the Eagles to shoot just eight percent from the field.

PARK RAPIDS — Kelli Pearson notched three 3-pointers for Staples-Motley in a 83-20 victory over Park Rapids in a Mid-State Conference game Friday.

The Cardinals led 46-13 at halftime, and outscored the Panthers by 30 points in the second half.

KyAnn Nyhus finished with 12 points and Mackenzie Holst tallied 11 as Staples-Motley had 11 different players score.
