Jalynn Lamb scored 15 points for Central Lakes College as the Raiders’ five-game win streak ended with a 61-58 against Rainy River in the CLC Invitational Saturday.


Betsy Helmeke added 11 points for the Raiders, who are 5-6 overall.

Lenae Nash guided Rainy River’s victory with 35 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 steals, followed by Joscelynne Alvarez with 19 points.

“Perseverance was the key to tonight’s win,” Rainy River coach Jack Cook said. “It was a hard fight. Both teams were committed to victory. Both played their strengths.

“Our game is to distribute and get everyone involved but in the end our defense, steals, and baskets was what won it for us.”
