BREEZY POINT —Alex Palm recorded a hat trick for the North Lakes Lightning as they defeated the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Thunder 7-0 in the Mid-State Conference opener for both teams Tuesday night.

Goalie Madison Galligan aided the shutout with 16 saves for the Lightning.

Sarah Holm made 31 saves for the Thunder.
