Area Boys Hockey: Flyers win with three in the third

LITTLE FALLS — Joey Hanowski scored twice and Ben Newman, Austin Bjorge and Luke Majerlie each scored once in the Little Falls Flyers 5-2 victory over Mound-Westonka during Thursday’s final round of the Little Falls tournament.

Mike Stumpf saved 27 shots for the Flyers, who have won four straight and evened their record to 6-6.

ST. CLOUD — Connor Chambers, Kegan Couture and Gavin Bickford all scored goals for the Northern Lakes Lightning, who tied Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Stars 3-3 during the final round of the Granite City Classic Thursday.

Joey Bergquist made 55 saves for the Lightning.
