Warrior Boys Basketball: Brainerd bounces Bison

Jack Sauer hit four three’s and led alls scorers with 17 points helping the Brainerd Warriors snap a three-game losing streak with a 73-52 victory over the Buffalo Bison in Saturday’s non-conference game at Brainerd High School.

“We played our best full game of the year against a really good team,” said head coach Scott Stanfield.

Brainerd’s Marcus Comstock and Jagar Hanson added 13 points apiece followed by Riley Kline with 12 and Connor Bowman with 10.

“We only had seven turnovers against Buffalo, who plays defense better than anyone we have faced,” said Stanfield. “It was good to see our kids be strong with the ball.”

With the win Brainerd improves to 5-4 overall.
