TRACK AND FIELD C-I's Carlson, Brainerd's Lyscio place at Bemidji

FARGO — Brainerd High School graduate Tyler Rose was runner-up in the 3,000 meters for the University of North Dakota men’s track and field team Sunday at the Bison Classic.

Rose, a senior, clocked a time of 8:59.36.

BEMIDJI — Ben Carlson of Crosby-Ironton and Tom Lyscio of Brainerd placed for the St. Scholastica men’s track and field team last weekend in the Super 8 Open at Bemidji State University.

Carlson was third in the triple jump with a distance of 39-5. Lyscio was fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 49-11.25.

The Saints will compete in the Blizzard Open at UW-Superior at noon Saturday.
