Area Girls Basketball: Miron, W-DC rough up Pequot


WADENA — Emily Miron led all scorers with 24 points and Hope Theisen added 10 as Wadena-Deer Creek defeated the Pequot Lakes Patriots 61-54 in Mid-State Conference action Tuesday.

Miron added six blocks, six rebounds and seven assists for the Wolverines, who won their third straight.

Mattie Lueck and Kayla Miller each scored 14 points for Pequot, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
