Area Wrestling: Meyer wins 100th match as Pierz sweeps

PIERZ — Junior Brad Meyer recorded his 100th career victory as the Pierz Pioneers swept their quadrangular Friday night.

Meyer, 18-5 this season, attained the milestone in a 70-9 win over Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale.

Chris Ortman pinned all three of his opponents and was one of nine Pioneers to go 3-0 as Pierz improved to 17-3.

Kolton Eischens, Evan Woitalla, Jordan Goebel, Trent Davis, Nathan Tomala, Dustin Waytashek and Riley Smude also went 3-0 for Pierz.
