Aitkin grabs lead in traveling league

Aitkin moved into first place in the Central 8 Traveling Classic Bowling League when the league met for the fifth time of the season Sunday at Little Falls Lanes.

In the scratch (no handicap) league there are 60 points available to win each time the league meets (once a month). Following Aitkin in the standings are McGregor and Brainerd.

High team series was by Isle with 3,142, Little Falls with 3,125 and 3,098.

High team game was by Isle with 1,129, Brainerd with 1,115 and Aitkin with 1,108.

High individual series were by Henry Trutwin of Crosby with 758, Jon Hervey of Brainerd 731 and Todd Olson of Brainerd 708.

High individual game honors went to Henry Trutwin of Crosby with a 300, Jon Hervey of Brainerd 279 and Lonnie Warner of Little Falls with 265.

Next meeting will be at Aitkin at 10 a.m. Feb. 12.
