Girls Hockey: Flying Warriors soar past Otters

Emily Stark scored the game-winner with 47 seconds left to give the Brainerd/Little Falls Flying Warriors a 4-3 victory over the Fergus Falls Otters in a Central Lakes Conference game Monday night at Brainerd Area Civic Center.

Zoe Wolhart scored two goals for the Flying Warriors, with the second being the tying shot late in the Third period.

“We battled hard in the third period to come back and even up the game,” said Warriors head coach Stephanie Sustercich.

Goalie Jodi Bertrand recorded 26 saves, while Stark scored two goals for Brainerd/Little Falls.

“This was our last home game and it was also senior night,” said Sustercich. “It was nice to be able to finish up the regular season with a home win.”

The Flying Warriors honored three seniors, Wolhart, Bertrand and Katie Benson and finished the regular season 4-8 in the conference and 4-21 overall.
