LF's Hanowski honored as WCHA scholar athlete
St. Cloud State University hockey player Ben Hanowski of Little Falls is one of 96 men and women WCHA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients.
Hanowski, a junior forward, leads the Huskies in scoring with 17 goals and 16 assists through 30 games.
To earn scholar-athlete distinction, student-athletes must have completed at least one year of residency at their present institution prior to the current academic year and must also have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 for the previous two semesters or three quarters. They may also qualify if their overall GPA is at least 3.50 for all terms at their present institution.
