Area Girls Basketball: W-DC snaps C-I's win streak

CROSBY — Emily Miron scored 17 points and Avery Jackson 12 to lead the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines past the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 48-44 in Friday’s Mid-State Conference game.

The Rangers, who saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end, were led by Chelsey Bonsante’s 17 points. Missy Foote added 13 points and 14 rebounds.

The victory gave the Pioneers a sweep of the two-game series against the Huskers this season.

Lisa Langer totalled 15 points and Bridget Bednar scored 14 for the 12-9 Pioneers.
