AREA Gymnastics: LeBlanc stars in first Granite Ridge conference meet

PRINCETON — Sophomore Rachelle LeBlanc won the all-around title and two individual events as the Little Falls Flyers finished third in the first Granite Ridge Conference Tournament Saturday.

LeBlanc won the balance beam and floor exercise, was second on the uneven parallel bars and fifth on vault. Her 9.6 on floor exercise tied Danielle Atkinson’s school record.

Named all-conference were LeBlanc in the all-around and junior Carly Atkinson on beam. Junior Amanda Hanson received all-conference honorable mention.

Team scores: 1-Becker, 2-Rush City/Pine City/Hinckley/Finlayson, 3-Little Falls

Uneven parallel bars: 2-Rachelle LeBlanc 8.8, 12-Amanda Hanson 7.75, 18-Carly Atkinson 7.175, 23-Sarah Strout 6.625, 25-Megan Peterson 5.275

Balance beam: 1-LeBlanc 9.2, 8-Atkinson 8.375, 16-(tie) Stout and Staci Stein 7.85, 19-Diana Kempenich 7.775

Floor exercise: 1-LeBlanc 9.6, 11-Stout 8.25, 15-Hanson 8.15, 18-Peterson 8.05, 25-Taylor Axel 6.95

Vault: 1-5-LeBlanc 9.0, 12-Atkinson 8.6, 15-Hanson 8.55, 18-Axel 8.4, 22-Stout 8.3

All-around: 1-LeBlanc 36.60, 13-Sarah Stout 30.925
