Area Boys Basketball: Holm becomes PR-B boys all-time leading scorer

PINE RIVER — Nathan Holm’s 33 points Tuesday catapulted him to the top of the Pine River-Backus boys basketball all-time scoring list during a 77-29 Northland Conference victory over Laporte.

Holm needed 30 points to surpass Vic Rinke’s record of 1,380 set in 1967. Holm leads a list of seven Tigers with 1,000 or more points with his 1,383.

The senior also added seven rebounds and three assists to help PR-B snap a five-game losing streak.

Sam Ruohoniemi grabbed 10 rebounds and Beau Howard tallied 16 points and five assists
