Area Boys Hockey: Hawks ground Flyers

HERMANTOWN — Mike Stumpf registered 36 saves for the Little Falls Flyers during Tuesday’s 2-0 loss to Class 1A’s top-ranked Hermantown Hawks.

The Hawks outshot Little Falls 38-12 and posted goals in the first and third period.

Little Falls finished the regular season 16-9.

LONG PRAIRIE — Kegan Couture and Alex Galligan scored goals for the Northern Lakes Lightning, who lost to the Prairie Centre North Stars 6-2 Tuesday to finish the regular season with an 11-12-2 record.
