Area Boys Hockey: Hanowski's hat trick propels Flyers to finals

ST. CLOUD — Joey Hanowski scored three goals and had two assists for the top-seeded Little Falls Flyers as they beat the No. 4 Sartell Sabres 8-1 in the semifinals of the Section 6-1A tournament Saturday at the Municipal Athletic Complex.

Luke Majerle scored a pair of goals and Matt Stumpf had one goal and two assists for the Flyers.

Also finding the net for Little Falls were Spencer Fenske, Aaron Randall and Mitch Gregory.

Flyers goalie Mike Stumpf saved 22 shots.

The Flyers play third-seeded Fergus Falls, which eliminated No. 7 Willmar 5-2, for the section title Thursday night at the MAC.
