SNOWMOBILE RACING: Area drivers compete at Fargo
The ISOC Fargo National was conducted last weekend at Buffalo River Raceway.
On Saturday, Pro Open had Lakeshore’s Cody Thomsen in eighth place and Dan Ebert, returning from a early season injury, in 11th. Both ride for Team Arctic.
Monster Mike Schultz of Pillager leads the points chase in the Pro-Am Plus 30 but had to settle for fourth in the final on a Ski-Doo.
Evan Daudt of Longville, riding a Polaris, had his first weekend in the National Sport class and made the finals Saturday and Sunday. He finished eighth Saturday and 14th Sunday.
In Junior 14-15, Cody Daudt of Remer was third on his Ski-Doo and Tyler Daudt of Longville was fourth on his Polaris.
In Junior 16-17, Cody Daudt was second and Tyler Daudt third.
Sunday was Vintage day and Steve Sherwood of Pine River was second in the Vintage Fan final on a Polaris.
The Grand Finale is scheduled March 16-18 at Lake Geneva, Wis.
In Round Two of the series at Quadna Mountain in Hill City, Robert Lang of Pequot Lakes was first in Semi Pro 800, 900 and Open.
Next Hillcross event is at Ski Gull March 17.
The cross country series had a weekend off last week. The Grand Finale for the series is Saturday and Sunday at Warroad where series champions will be crowned. The awards banquet will be March 31 at Walker.
