Kill to speak at Elks Fishing Fling

University of Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill will be the featured speaker at the annual Brainerd Elks Fishing Fling on April 26 at the Brainerd National Guard Armory.

Only 250 tickets will be sold. Tickets are available from any Brainerd Elks member or call the lodge after 3 p.m. at (218) 829-2643.

Social hour is at 5 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. followed by program and prizes at 8 p.m.

The meal will consist of a choice of prime rib and Chicken Oscar.

Prizes include:

• Two-day/3-night trip for four to Wigwam Lodge on Lake of the Woods.

• Aluminum utility trailer.

• $500 gift certificate to Cub Foods.

• Vikings/49ers football weekend with lodging.

• Blue Goose dinner and launch trip for four on Mille Lacs Lake.

• Guided fishing trip with Glen Belgum.

• Rods, reels, tackle boxes, framed prints, coolers, sports equipment and more.

All proceeds benefit the Elks Youth Activities Fund, which provides scholarships to area high school students and supports the state Elks Youth Camp on Pelican Lake.
