Area Softball: W-DC opens season in big way

BERTHA — Avery Jackson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and three RBIs during the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 21-3 non-conference victory over the Bertha-Hewitt Bears Tuesday.

Morgan Lugert went 2-4 with three runs and two RBIs and Sam Killian was 2-4 with two runs and three RBIs.

Caitlin Volkmann pitched the complete-game three hitter. She walked three and stuck out five.
