Area Baseball: Flyers hold of Pierz

PIERZ — Michael Holthaus went 3-4 with a double and Luke Thoma struck out six in as many innings for Little Falls in a 6-5 non-conference victory over the Pierz Pioneers Thursday.

Mitch Gregory finished 2-3 with two runs for the 1-0 Flyers

Logan Meyer went 3-4 with a double and an RBI and Brad Meyer went 2-4 with two runs for Pierz, which trailed 6-2 heading onto the bottom of the seventh before scoring three runs. The tying run was on third and the winning run on second.
