Area Softball: Tigers fourth in Park Rapids

PARK RAPIDS- Morgan Demars pitched all three games for the Pine River-Backus Tigers, who finished fourth Saturday at the Park Rapids Tournament.

Demars pitched the Tigers to a 7-1 victory in the first game over Nevis. She pitched all five innings while allowing no earned runs and striking out two with eight walks. Megan Felthouse went 2-4 with two RBIs in the game.

Demars went 2-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs in a 9-8 second game loss to Norman County. Journee Howard added a triple and Tatum Sheley hit a two-run home run. Meg Stevenson notched three hits in the loss.

In a 7-1 loss to Bagley in the third-place game, Demars went 1-3 and knocked in the Tigers’ only run.

PR-B was missing four key player according to coach Jason Roepke.
