Warrior Girls Golf: Brainerd's Muesing grabs top spot

ST. CLOUD — Jenny Muesing opened the Central Lakes Conference season by grabbing co-medalist honors at Monday’s meet at Wapicada Golf Course.

Muesing fired an 84 to lead the Brainerd Warriors to fifth.

Shannon Chalupsky fired a 96 and Hannah Moen shot 98 for the Warriors.

“Jenny wanted to do better, but I was really pleased with that round given the conditions,” said Brainerd head coach Brian Stark. “All of our girls wanted to play a lot better but it wasn’t really pleasant for golf that’s for sure.

“Jenny has been working real hard on her game and hopefully this gives her confidence.”
