Area Track and Field: Pequot girls second, boys fourth

PARK RAPIDS — Vanessa Lane won the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the Pequot Lakes Patriots girls recorded three other firsts to finish second in the Park Rapids Invite Tuesday.

The Pequot boys, behind wins from Tyler Jorgenson in the 800 run and Tyler Tappe in the pole vault, placed fourth.

Pequot’s 4x100 girls relay won as did Abigail Palmer in the long jump and Kaycee Nelson in the triple jump.
