Boys Tennis: Brainerd sweeps Cards for the win

ALEXANDRIA — Lenka Zelinska dropped just one game on her way to a No. 2 singles victory during the Brainerd Warriors 7-0 Central Lakes Conference win over the Alexandria Cardinals Thursday.

Ryan Bell won in straight sets at No. 4 singles and all three doubles teams won in straight sets, including the veteran squad of Trent Anderson-Gunnar Askegaard at No. 1 doubles 6-0, 6-1.

The Brainerd Warriors junior varsity team also completed with Kyle Johnson, Joey Houston and Louis Grabowski getting singles wins. Doubles winners were Parker Sundquist-Ben Anderholm, Jordan Kleist-Eric Holub, Connor Gunsbury-Jacob Donnay, Ben Hanson-Joe Anderholm, Brendan Hermerding-Jacob Norr and Isaac Nadeau-Adam Warren.
