High School Baseball: Warriors claim fourth straight win

ST. CLOUD — Drew Sannes had a busy day for Brainerd.

The sophomore pitched a complete game and picked up three hits for the Warriors in a 4-0 Central Lakes Conference win over St. Cloud Tech Friday at Putz Field.

The Warriors improved to 4-1 in conference play with the win, while the Tigers dropped their record to 0-4.

Sannes struck out five and allowed just four hits in the win. At the plate, he doubled, tripled and knocked in two runs.

Blake Thiesse and Riley Kline both went 2-4 as Brainerd won for the fourth straight game.

“We played well defensively,” said Brainerd head coach Lowell Scearcy. “There were some nice defensive plays made by Jagar Hanson and Kline. Blake Peterson also played well at second base.”
