AREA BOYS GOLF: Herold, Pioneers finish first

PIERZ — Dustin Herold earned medalist honors with a 38 and led the Pierz Pioneers to a three-way tie for first place in Tuesday’s Central Minnesota Conference meet at Pierz Municipal.

The Pioneers’ team score of 174 was good for a tie with Osakis and Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.

After three meets, Osakis leads the conference with 523 while Pierz is fourth with 557.

Pillager runner-up

EAST GULL LAKE — Dallas Ruis and Logan Jackson finished second and third in individual play for Pillager as the Huskies finished second in Tuesday’s Quad County Conference meet at Cragun’s Legacy Courses.

Ruis and Jackson carded 84 and 86, respectively.

Team scores: 1-Ottertail Central 353, 2-Pillager 366, 3-Underwood 402
