College Baseball: Raiders still alive

Email

AUSTIN — The No. 7 Central Lakes Raiders remain alive in their quest to advance to the Region 13 tournament after defeating Riverland 1-0 in the first game of Friday’s doubleheader in the opening round of the Southern Division playoffs.

The Raiders were trailing 2-0 in the second game and coming to bat in the bottom of the sixth when the game was suspended because of a tornado warning.

Jaren Hoemberg’s RBI single in the third inning was the difference in Game One.
