AMATEUR BASEBALL: Rebels remain unbeaten with 8-3 win

FORT RIPLEY — Brett Kramer struck out 11 batters in seven innings and the Fort Ripley Rebels remained unbeaten with an 8-3 win over Royalton on Sunday.

Jason Sather had three hits and Ray Austin, Andy Waletzko and Kramer also had multi-hit games for the 3-0 Rebels.

Kramer allowed just two hits and walked four. Blaine Bubalo and Bill Sather pitched the last two innings.

Paul Krebs had two hits for the Riverdogs.

Opole 8, Brewers 5

PIERZ — Nick Bialka hit a 2-run homer in a 4-run third inning as the Opole Bears beat the Pierz Brewers 8-5 Sunday.

Jake Eichten earned the win and Max Posch picked up a save. Teammate John Pilarski stole four bases.

Dan Kimman and Mitchell Boser had two hits each for the Brewers.

Lastrup 5, Buckman 0

LASTRUP — Scott Janson won his third game of the season and the Lastrup Lakers improved to 3-0 with a 5-0 shutout of the Buckman Billygoats on Sunday.

Janson pitched six shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out four.

Chad Weiss earned a 3-inning save with five strikeouts.

Rick Schlieman had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Lastrup. Reggie Litke and Janson each added two hits.

Tyler Monson had two hits for Buckman.
