AREA SOFTBALL: Hunstad's relief leads to Pillager win


UPSALA — Shayla Hunstad shut down the Upsala Cardinals after coming on in relief in the fourth with Pillager trailing 9-6 and the Huskies rallied to slug out a 23-9 seven-inning non-conference win Thursday.

In the final 3.1 innings, Hunstad faced 14 batters, striking out seven of them, while giving up just one hit.

Nicole Mast went 4-4 with four RBIs and four runs scored and Carly Bell finished 3-3 with four runs and a pair of RBIs for Pillager.
