BOYS TENNIS: Warriors shut out Sabres

SARTELL — Lenka Zelinska took a 6-1, 6-2, No. 1 singles win as the Brainerd Warriors shut out Sartell 7-0 in a Central Lakes Conference meet Thursday.

Also notching singles wins for Brainerd were DJ Kraemer, Bobby Posch and Luke Jacobsen.

The doubles team of Gunnar Askegaard-Trent Anderson won at No. 1, followed by Reno Fussy-Jared Stearns and Parker Sundquist-Ben Anderholm.

Brainerd had nipped Sartell 4-3 in April 23.

The Warriors’ junior varsity defeated Sartell 5-1 with Ryan Bell and Kyle Johnson notching singles wins.

Winning doubles matches for Brainerd were Kyle Helmberger-Jed Rusk, Joey Houston-Grant Helwig and Peyton Argir-Jacob Donnay.
