Area Softball: Boser's bombs powers Pierz


PIERZ — Megan Boser hit a home run and a triple to drive in four runs in the Pierz Pioneers 8-6 non-conference win over Foley Friday.


Tiara Hopkins, who added a double at the plate, struck out five in seven innings for the win.

LITTLE FALLS — Holly Kampa notched two hits and drove in four runs as Little Falls routed Sauk Centre 11-0 Friday in a mercy-rule shortened Granite Ridge Conference game.

Chloe Nelson went the distance for the Flyers, allowing no runs off of four hits and striking out five while walking none in five innings.

MacKenzie Holst went 4-4 and drove in two for S-M.

Nicole Mast added two hits, two runs, and an RBI for Pillager in the win.

Volkmann struck out 10 in seven innings and gave up no earned runs off of six hits and a walk.

Michaela Lehmkuhl notched three hits and three RBIs, while Morgan Lugert contributed four runs and 2 RBIs and Victoria Withuhn added three hits and scored three.
