Area Tennis: Gobblers sweep to advance

AITKIN — Alex Anderson’s 6-0, 6-2 No. 1 singles victory paved the way for the No. 4 seeded Aitkin Gobblers as they shut out fifth-seeded Pine City 7-0 in the Section 7-1A quarterfinals Thursday.

Dan Klucas, Lyle Nyberg and Jack Reeves were also singles winners for Aitkin

Doubles winners were Eric Raushel-Tyler Michaletz, Adam Burke-Chris Carlberg and Ryan Rosemore-Ryan Anderson.
