MEN'S BASKETBALL: PR-B's Holm signs to play for CLC

Nathan Holm, all-time scoring leader in boys basketball at Pine River-Backus High School, has signed a letter to intent to play for Central Lakes College, the defending champions of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference.

The 6-2 forward averaged 24.1 points per game last season while earning All-Northland Conference honors. He broke a 45-year single-game scoring record by totaling 33 points in the Tigers' win over Laporte.

Holm had 85 assists, 42 steals, and 26 blocked shots last season, shooting 41 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range, and 75 percent from the free-throw line.

He finished in the top 10 of four statistical categories in conference play. He averaged 8.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.14 blocks.

Holm was also the Tigers' top quarterback in football and a pitcher for the baseball team.
