CROSBY — AJ Hartshorn struck out 11, walked three and allowed one run on seven hits for a 2-1 complete game victory over Nisswa Sunday.

Jordan Hunstad went 3-4 with a run for the Miners. Mac Jones was 2-4 and John Hoge and Lance Herbst each drove in a run.

Nisswa’s Drew Boland scored the Lightning’s lone run as he went 2-3 with a walk. Aaron Jenkins was 2-4.

Brett Cloutier was tagged with the loss despite allowing just two runs on one walk and eight hits. He struck out three in 5.2 innings. Luke Schumer finished the way. He struck out one and walked one and didn’t allow any hits.

St. Stephen 7, Bulldogs 2

PIERZ — Adam Tschumperlin went 3-5 with a double and run scored as St. Stephen defeated the Pierz Bulldogs 7-2 Sunday.

ST. MATHIAS — Dalton Tibbets was 2-2 with a run, Ryan Thiesse drove in two runs and Jake Francis was 1-4 with an RBI and a run scored in St. Mathias’ 12-6 loss to Upsala Sunday.

St. Wendel 2, Brewers 0

ST. WENDEL — Mike Poser allowed two runs on five hits and four walks, but the Pierz Brewers were blanked 2-0 by St. Wendel Sunday.

Poser went the distance for Pierz, who got singles from Alvin Kimman, Greg Pohlkamp, Eric Boser, Jerron Boser and Logan Meyer.

Lastrup 8, Harding 1

PIERZ — Chad Weiss struck out seven in five shutout innings to pitch the Lastrup Lakers to an 8-1 victory over the Harding Dinosaurs Saturday.

Weiss was also 2-2 with a double, RBI and three runs scored and Rick Schlieman hit a solo home run.

Dave Woitalla went 2-3 with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Harding’s Curt Caughey hit an RBI double. Josh Boser was 3-4 and Paul Preimesberger was 2-4 with a double. Gary Woitalla also had two hits.

Lastrup 16, Holdingford 1

LASTRUP — Reggie Litke and Rick Schlieman each hit run scoring doubles and Dustin Schmaltz hit a three-run home run in a seven-run fourth inning that ignited the Lastrup Lakers to a 16-1 victory over Holdingford Saturday.

Litke’s double drove in two runs.

Chad Weiss scored three runs and Dave Woitalla finished 1-2 with two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Nate Janson finished 2-4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored.
