AMATEUR BASEBALL: Flanagan, Crocker help Bees past Grays

ST. CLOUD — Burrell Flanagan pitched a 5-hit shutout and Kyle Crocker went 3-4 as the Brainerd Bees blanked the Granite City Grays 5-0 in a Lakewood League game Sunday.

Flanagan struck out four and walked three in his complete game.

“Burrell pitched a great game,” Bees manager Tim Martin said, “and our defense was outstanding.”

Mark Ortega had an RBI double and Jack Hegarty an RBI single for the Bees, who scored their final run on a wild pitch. Nate DeChaine added a double for Brainerd.
