Warrior Girls Golf: Muesing two shots off top of leaderboad

LONG PRAIRIE — Jenny Muesing is two shots off the lead with her 83 after Monday’s opening round of the Section 8-3A tournament at Long Prairie Golf Course.

The Brainerd Warriors sophomore fired nines of 42-41 to land in a tie for sixth with Alexandria’s Natalie Amundson. She is the lone Brainerd player to advance to Tuesday’s final round as the Warriors finished sixth as a team. The top four teams and the top six individuals not on those teams advance.

Brainerd’s Shannon Chalupsky and Brittany Bostrom tied for 27th with 97s. Hannah Moen was one shot behind at 98.
