Brainerd dirt track racer Tim Johnson made his presence known in Wisconsin Tuesday.

One of the top competitors at North Central Speedway in Barrows, Johnson captured the George Rhoe Memorial Super Stock race at the Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, Wis.

Johnson’s win earned him a check for $2,200 plus extras. He won his heat and then captured the 44-lap feature after starting in the sixth position. He captured the lead after a restart around lap 32 and hung on for the win.

As of June 2, Johnson leads the Miller Lite Super Stock division at NCS by four points. He is fourth in Budweiser modified points.
