Little Falls stays undefeated

LITTLE FALLS — Joey Hanowski pitched a three-hitter and Little Falls won its third straight game, 14-0 over Crosslake-Fifty Lakes-Pequot Lakes Tuesday in a game shortened to seven innings because of the 10-run rule.

Hanowski also walked four times and scored four runs.

Mitch Gregory and Joe Tuholsky both went 2-3 with the latter hitting a double and scoring twice. Spencer Fenske also doubled going 1-4 and Luke Thoma finished 2-3 scoring three runs.

PIERZ — Starting pitcher Cody Weiss and three relievers pitched in to give Pierz a 6-0, five-hit shutout over Royalton in a seven-inning game for their season opener Tuesday.

Weiss struck out five and gave up two hits with no walks taking the win after pitching only the first two innings.

Brad Meyer and Brady Dorn each ripped a pair of doubles.
