Softball: Flyers, Pierz split


The Little Falls Flyers defeated Pierz 5-4 and lost to Pierz 19-4 Thursday.

In Game One, Alea Cekalla struck out five and held Pierz to four hits and no earned runs.

Tristen Zimmerman was 2-2 with two RBIs. Aby Thoma and Chantelle Anderson also drove in runs for Little Falls.

In Game Two, Pierz took advantage of walks and timely hitting to score 11 runs in the second inning.

Paige Reardon got the win for Pierz giving up only two hits and striking out two.
