NISSWA — The Nisswa Lightning are heating up.

After knocking off Fort Riply to claim the top spot in the North Divison Friday, Nisswa dismantled the Cuyuna Range Miners 11-1 Sunday in seven innings.

That victory clinched the North Divison for the second-year Victory League team.

Nisswa’s Jason Ropke went 2-4 with a home run and Mike Zauhar was 2-5 with RBI, run and stolen base.

Mark Germain also went 3-5 with two RBIs and a run for the Lightning.
