Area Legion Baseball: Flyers win one against Bemidji

BEMIDJI — Matt Valentine went 3-6 with a double as Little Falls split a doubleheader with Bemidji, losing the first game 7-0 and winning the second 11-2 in Bemidji Tuesday.

Collin Eckman and Josh Wenzel both went 2-4 and Rob Munnell walked twice for Little Falls.

STAPLES — Blake Petrich went 3-5 with two triples, two runs and two RBIs as Staples-Motley split a doubleheader against Park Rapids winning the opener 3-2 and falling 5-4 in the second game Tuesday.

Jacob Vetsch struck out two and walked three to earn the Game One win.

S-M’s Austin Redemske was 4-4 with two runs and an RBI, Devon White went 2-4 with one run and Jalen Busker went 2-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

PEQUOT LAKES —Nathan Ehnstrom pitched a complete game, striking out 11, as Aitkin beat Wadena 9-3 in Pequot Lakes Tuesday.

Ehnstrom was 1-2 with a double at the plate. Logan Quade went 2-4 with two stolen bases and Alex Bobenmoyer was 2-4 for Aitkin.
