Women's Golf: Hasskamp, Enger back on top

Joan Hasskamp, Candace Prigge, Deb Enger and Denise Millard shot 61 to win the ninth annual Pink Ribbon Golf Classic at Grand View Lodge’s Pines golf Course.

Becky Butcher, Kay Gunnerson, Jody Hagenson and Rhonda Marak finished second followed by the team of Angie Sandelin, Cheryl Karnowski, Pat hardy and MaLinda Johanneck in third.

Deb Cranny, Martha Pruzak, Kathy Wernberg, Tammy Olson finished fourth

Longest putt went to Rose Johnson. Longest drives went to Millard and Prigge. Olson and Connie Bender were closest to the pin.

On the Garden Course, Judi Moravec, Katie Wallace, Sue Marsolais and Kathy McTague shot 31 to win on the Garden Course. Naomi Jobes, Mary Morgan, Shirley Olson and Jan Choromanski finished second and Sandy Folkenson, Stephanie Bermel, Alison Potvin and Mariah Okerstrom finished third.

Shirley Carlson made the longest putt, Collette Chesner hit the longest drive and Shirley Olsen was closest to the pin.

Next year’s tournament will be June 18.

The planning team will be Laurie Line, Sue Tiegs, Linda Gronholz, Marilyn Sobiech, Tammy Brown and Joni Meyer.

This year’s tournament netted $16,000 for the Brainerd lakes area’s American Cancer Society.
