BOYS SOCCER: Tech defeats Warriors in CLC opener

BAXTER — Cole Babcock scored Brainerd’s only goal, assisted by Nick Solheim, as the Warriors were edged 2-1 by unbeaten St. Cloud Tech in the Central Lakes Conference opener for both teams Thursday.

Irvin Rivera scored on a penalty kick for St. Cloud Tech in the game’s first 90 seconds.

Brainerd has now lost their first three games by a total of three goals.

Tech defeated Monticello and Rogers in their first two games.
