HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL: Willmar sweeps Warriors

Jenna Degen served up three aces, netted three kills, two digs, 1.5 blocks and 11 set assists as Brainerd was swept by Willmar in three sets in a Central Lakes Conference matchup Thursday night at Brainerd High School.

“We made some big strides from Tuesday, cut down a lot of our errors, but we’re still trying to find that team chemistry; that just takes time and playing together and trusting each other,” Warriors coach Jared Diem said. “We have a new offense and new defense, and that takes time to find that team trust, and what they’re doing at each position.

“To me, this is what we can correct, and I’m looking forward to our team’s improvement.”
