The Warriors defeated New Ulm 2-1 and fell to Jordan, Rosemont and Lakeville South.

“Farmington is one of the best tournaments in the state and we had some great games,” said Warrior head coach Jared Diem. “We played Lakeville South who won the tourney last year and Jordan, who took second last year. Both of those teams are perennial state bound teams. Actually, the coach from South won the state tournament last year with Lakeville North, and we were very competitive with them. We just had big lapses when the other team would score a bunch of points and it was difficult to recover. When you are down a lot it is easy to get down on yourselves and that affects their play greatly. We also were missing our top defender in Courtney Ryan, who was at a family commitment, so we had two players playing different positions which definitely made an impact. My girls worked through that and came to play. We just need to come out stronger at the beginning of sets. I thought Heather Fletcher blocked really well and Paige Rivers was an exceptional server this weekend.”

Mikaela Chandler finished with 16 digs, 15 kills and four blocks. Jenna Degen added 25 set assists, 10 digs, four ace serves and three kills and Hannah Kangas added 16 set assists, 10 digs, four ace serves and four kills for the Warriors.
