AREA GIRLS TENNIS: Eighth-grader's win difference for Gobblers


HERMANTOWN — Eighth-grader Megan Lawson picked up her second win of the season, defeating Beth Collins at No. 4 singles, in the deciding match of Aitkin’s 4-3 non-conference win over Hermantown Tuesday.

Lawson’s first win came Sept. 10 and was the deciding match in the Gobblers’ 4-3 win over Crosby-Ironton.

Also posting wins for Aitkin were Claire Browning at No. 1 singles, Lindy Lahmann-Sharbonda-Lisa Anderson at No. 1 doubles, and Amy Chalich-Taylor Smith at No. 2 doubles.
