Warrior Tennis: Warriors drop second straight

Sara Wennerstrand won a 6-2, 6-4 No. 2 singles match and the duo of Brooke Mimmack-Ashley Fitterer won at No. 3 doubles for the Brainerd Warriors during a 5-2 Central Lakes Conference loss to Alexandria Thursday at Brainerd High School.

Brainerd’s Caitlin Steffen won her opening set before falling in the last two sets.

Brainerd’s junior varsity lost to Alexandria 6-5. Singles winners were Claire Siekas and Kallie Voss. Doubles winners were Lauren Rud-Maiah Maki, Abby Thorkelson-Maura Halverson, Emma Johnson-Molly West, Jenna Swenson-Megan Wroolie and Voss-Gretchen Gramer.
