Warrior Girls Tennis: Warriors close regular season with loss

ST. CLOUD — The No. 3 doubles team of Brooke Mimmack-Ashley Fitterer secured the lone win for the Brainerd Warriors in a 6-1 Central Lakes Conference loss to St. Cloud Tech Tuesday.

It was the second 6-1 loss of the season to the Tigers who had already clinched the CLC title.

Brainerd finishes the regular season with a 6-5 conference record, 8-7 overall and faces Detroit Lakes in the Section 8-2A team tournament noon Friday at Fitness Evolution in Sartell.

Winning junior varsity singles matches Tuesday were Sara Dick, Hannah Moen and Anna Fischer.

JV doubles wins were Hannah Spitzley-Abby Thorkelson, Jenna Swenson-Megan Wroolie and Haily Heinrichs-Claire Seikas.
